not-so-concise

I am trying to finish a post before I run out of Wi-Fi time (or weefee, as they call it in spanish), but I have too much to say. I just highlighted a ton of what I wanted to mention in this post, and deleted it. I decided if I am ever going to finish, I should just make it simple.
I don't have any pictures ready to put up right now either, but I promise to post some as soon as possible!  Check out this list of places I have visited/plan to visit since Monday: Cadaques, Carcassonne, HondarribiaSan Sebastian, Pamplona, Najera, Santo Domingo, LogroƱo, Madrid....more places?
*I think Barcelona is still my favorite so far, but maybe because it feels like home now.

Did I mention the police came (knocking on the door) to the rooftop party I went to last Friday? I never really found out, but I think they came because of noise complaints. I hope someone was taking photos of that night because I didn’t think to bring my camera. It was lot of fun and the 'unofficial going away party' for about seven people (including me), it got a little crazy. Like every night out in Barcelona, I met a lot really interesting people-that I would totally hang out with/want to be friends with-but it was disappointing realizing that I was leaving the next day and I wouldn't get the chance to hangout with them or anything.
After that party, I got back to my homestay apartment around 7 am. I was really hungry and I didn't think the my homestay mother (the older lady whose home I was living in) would be awake yet....so I started raiding the refrigerator for food. As I was stuffing left over pasta into my mouth, she walks into the kitchen and says (translated to english), "you're up already? wow, its so early! I thought I heard the door open, so I wanted to see if it was you leaving or something" and I told her, "actually, I am just getting in!". Luckily, she is really sweet and just laughed at me for being crazy and staying out all night. Even though there where other students living with us, she quickly learned that I would happily sleep all day, if I could (if she hadn't seen me in a long time, she would knock on my door to see if I was still alive).

Hey! Its a wonderful kind of day!

I listened to the "Arthur" (the kid's TV show with the Anteater) theme song, I can't believe I still know most of the words! haha, and I forgot how good it is, its like a child-appropriate reggae.

The concert that I worked at on friday for my internship had a really good Spanish reggae band play. I've never been to a reggae concert before....I have never sen so many people with dreadlocks/smoking weed all at the same time in one place. It was an interesting experience, I wish I had taken photos.

^^listening to that right now.

feels like summer. feels good. don't want to go back home that bad. I just want home to come to me...all of my friends and stuff could just suddenly appear and I could live in Barcelona, going out all the time, and doing whatever I felt like. The weather is so great here, right now, sitting on the porch is perfect. However, this week it did rain on wednesday and thursday. We were celebrating a friend's birthday with a party at the beach, but we got poured on around 3 am. It was bad, but we had had a great time anyway.

I think the most exciting thing that has happened this week, would be running into the German boys that I met on Wednesday night twice on thursday! Haha, what are the chances? It was really cute, but I still don't remember their names....oh well, I think they left already. I ran into my favorite of them on the stairs of the Metro, I was going down, and they were going up. They yelled "hey" at me while passing, but I kept walking a little, then turned around and yelled "hey" back. It kinda made my day a little.

Summertime Clothes, Good Friends, Late Nights.

I finally feel like I can sing along to AnCo without reminiscing about summer. It feels like 'freedom'.
Its perfect, just chillin'-out with friends all night--one of the things I love most about summertime.

Listen to some (new/new-ish) albums in their entirety, you deserve it hear them:
James Blake
Toro y Moi
Smith Westerns
Bon Iver
YACHT
John Maus

**Also, watch some Tiny Desk Concerts on NPR! I need to catch-up on these, there are so many I haven't seen, and they all look amazing.

Summer Souls

Here are some photos I promised to upload as soon as I got them developed.

Camping (and stopping at Cox Farms) on Memorial Day Weekend:

I learned that goats are very greedy and candles can get hot enough to burn through plastic. But I had a great time with my friends and I was very proud of the campfire I worked hard on. I'll upload a photo of the 'tent' here as soon as one of my friends uploads it on facebook or something.
